Health, stress, and overall imbalance. That's when yoga stepped in as a saviour.
Yoga became a way for Divyani to find balance, both physically and mentally. It helped her heal her body and connect with her inner self. Yoga not only provided her with physical strength and flexibility but also brought peace and clarity to her mind. It became a journey of self-discovery, and she realised that she wanted to share this incredible practise with others.
After completing her 500-hour yoga teacher training in Delhi, India, under the guidance of renowned yoga teacher Seema Sondhi, Divyani became a certified yoga instructor. She specialises in various styles of yoga, including Ashtanga Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Power Yoga, Yoga Therapy, and Prenatal Yoga. Her classes incorporate both Yin and Yang elements, along with pranayama (breathing exercises) and meditation.
Divyani believes that anyone can practise yoga, regardless of age, gender, body type, or lifestyle. She believes that yoga is a practise that respects and acknowledges everyone equally. Her teaching style focuses on creating a safe and inclusive space for all her students, allowing them to explore their bodies and themselves while reaping the numerous physical, emotional, and mental benefits of yoga.
In addition to her yoga certifications, Divyani holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours from India and a Master of Finance degree from Australia. She is a passionate traveller, animal lover, writer, foodie, and holistic health enthusiast. Divyani's love for exploration extends beyond the yoga mat, as she enjoys discovering new places and experiences.
Divyani's journey with yoga began in her homeland, India, but she now calls Melbourne her home since 2015. She loves the vibrant and diverse culture of Melbourne, and it serves as a constant source of inspiration for her practise and teaching.
For Divyani, yoga isn't just a physical exercise or routine; it is a way of life. It is about connecting with oneself and embracing a holistic approach to well-being. She hopes to inspire and guide others on their own yoga journey, helping them find balance, peace, and self-discovery in their lives.
