The Principal of DLJ School of Dance is Debbie Jellis, who is also a Cecchetti Classical Ballet Examiner. Debbie trained at the London College of Dance and Drama, gaining I. D in Cecchetti Classical Ballet. Debbie has also achieved the Enricco. Cecchetti Diploma under the guidance of Miss Eve Pettinger. In addition to her teaching career, Debbie had a successful professional dance career as a Jazz and Cabaret dancer, performing alongside notable acts such as Diana Ross, Gene Pitney, and The Jackson Five.

She also had modelling and advertising contracts, including one with Levi Strauss. Debbie has experience working at vocational schools and in the private education sector.
