Welcome to Dorset Bridge, a small and friendly Bridge club located in the charming countryside of North Dorset and Wiltshire. The club utilises the fantastic facilities and warm hospitality of two local venues, The Grosvenor Arms Hotel in Shaftesbury and Compton McRea in Semley.
Dorset Bridge prides itself on offering expert guidance and teaching materials developed by Andrew Robson, a renowned figure in the Bridge community. Our lessons are designed to cater to all levels of players, from beginners to advanced. We believe in making the game of Bridge not only educational but also fun, social, and highly enjoyable. Many of our members quickly become addicted to the game and build extensive social networks within the club.
Our main objective is to ensure that no one feels alone and that everyone finds a sense of belonging within our community.

Over the past five years, our club has raised over 45,000 for different charitable organisations, and we are committed to continuing this tradition in the future.

If you are interested in joining Dorset Bridge, you can contact us via phone or email. We offer Andrew Robson Bridge courses up to an advanced level, following the same curriculum taught at Andrew Robson's club in Parsons Green. Each level consists of four or eight-week courses, coinciding with the school term dates. Course fees include full notes, a selection of speciality teas and coffees, and club membership.
The courses offered at Dorset Bridge range from 1. 5 to 2 hours in duration, depending on the level of advancement. The courses are priced at 220. 00 for eight weeks, and individual topic lessons are available at 30.
00 per lesson.
For the Spring 2024 Term, we will be offering the following courses: Red Play (formerly Advanced Play), Improver, Red Defence (formerly Advanced Defence), and Next Step. Each course focuses on different aspects of Bridge strategy and gameplay, and you can find more details on our website.
