Dramalam Performing Arts

Jamie, the organiser of Dramalam Performing Arts, has a few important updates for our sports community. To ensure everyone is well-informed:

Costs for costumes or tickets may apply, and performance fees will be communicated separately. Please note, missed classes cannot be refunded or carried over to the following month.

If you need to cancel your enrolment, you must notify us in writing via email at least 30 days before the start of the next month. If not, the fees for the following month will be charged.

Dramalam Performing Arts is deeply committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people in our classes. All staff members have undergone relevant child protection and safeguarding training. We have an appointed Safeguarding Officer to address any concerns regarding your child's well-being or safety, following strict safeguarding procedures and a clear code of conduct for both staff and students. Any incidents or concerns should be reported to the Safeguarding Officer immediately.

Health and safety are paramount. All students must abide by the health and safety rules and regulations set by the academy. Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring their child arrives and leaves the premises safely. Students must wear appropriate attire and footwear for their classes. Any injuries or medical conditions must be reported to the academy before starting classes.

Regarding data protection, Dramalam Performing Arts stores and processes personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018. Personal data is used solely for administering and managing classes and will not be shared with any third parties without consent. Parents or guardians have the right to request access to their child's personal data and to withdraw consent for its use. Please contact us directly to make these requests.

Recognising the importance of holistic development, the classes also incorporate well-being and mindful activities. Through these, students learn to appreciate and care for their bodies and minds, fostering balance and self-care. Jamie and the team are focused on creating a supportive and inclusive community.

At Dramalam, diversity is celebrated, and all students are encouraged to embrace their unique selves. Located in Strathaven, the classes are easily accessible and held at the Strathaven Town Mill Arts & Heritage Centre. This venue provides a vibrant and inspiring setting for students to learn and grow.

To ensure the highest quality of instruction, all classes are taught by experienced professionals who have both studied and worked within the Performing Arts industry. The Rambert Grades Contemporary syllabus is delivered to early years students in the dance classes, offering a framework for students to track their progress and celebrate their growth. As the programme continues to grow and evolve, Jamie is excited to expand the syllabus offerings and provide more opportunities for students to develop their skills.
