Turning point in my journey. This crisis led me to explore alternative modalities and holistic approaches to healing, eventually leading me to become a yoga teacher.
In my work as a yoga teacher, I focus on helping individuals connect with their innermost selves and uncover the hidden messages that their bodies are trying to communicate. I believe that true healing goes beyond just the resolution of symptoms or disease, but also involves making peace and coming to acceptance of our life circumstances.
I understand that healing encompasses the mind, body, and soul, and that even with all the right supplements and practises, if there is something out of alignment deep within, we can still remain symptomatic. Therefore, I believe in the importance of delving into the layers of the soul, exploring the emotions in our hearts, and addressing conflicts in the mind to truly create lasting health.
My own personal journey, which includes experiencing symptoms of the body and mind, has allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of health and healing. It is through these experiences, both my own and those of others, that I have come to realise the significance of the body-mind-soul connexion. This understanding has propelled me to expand the consciousness of medicine, giving credibility and power to modalities and approaches that have been previously looked down upon.
While my medical qualifications are valuable, I believe that the training received through lived experience is equally if not more important. It is my mission to empower others outside the medical profession and traditional modalities, so that more individuals can transcend their own limitations and awaken to their unlimited potential.
In addition to my medical training, which includes a Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Western Australia, I have also completed 3 years of the Psychiatry training programme. However, it was the crisis of mind, body, and soul that I experienced during this training that propelled me on my holistic healing journey.
Dr Talia Steed is a dedicated yoga teacher, author, and holistic medicine practitioner who is passionate about helping individuals awaken to their true selves and experience true healing. Through her own journey and the exploration of alternative modalities, she has gained profound insights into the mind, body, and soul connexion and believes in the power of holistic approaches to create lasting health and well-being. With a background in medicine, Dr Talia combines her medical knowledge with her holistic practises to guide individuals on their own healing journeys.
