DSP Performing, a contemporary dance club based in London, is thrilled to announce an upcoming local event that is sure to captivate all dance enthusiasts. As an established Saturday performing arts school, DSP Performing has been providing a comprehensive curriculum in acting, dancing, and singing for ages 5 to 18 within the esteemed walls of Wanstead High School.
From its humble beginnings as a Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts franchise, DSP Performing has flourished and emerged as one of the premier LIPA Schools. In 2014, our school embraced the exciting opportunity of operating as an independent organisation, proudly adopting the new name of DSP Performing.
Even during the challenging times brought about by the pandemic, our commitment to our students never wavered. We successfully transitioned to online teaching and implemented socially distanced lessons to ensure the uninterrupted growth and development of our dancers. We are immensely proud to have remained open and provided our students with an outlet for their creative expression.
In 2022, DSP Performing underwent a change in ownership, bidding farewell to the visionary creator of our club. However, this change marked the beginning of a new chapter filled with fresh adventures and opportunities. Many of our devoted students consistently return year after year, not only for the fun and engaging lessons but also for the chance to learn new techniques from our vibrant team of teachers, who are themselves accomplished performers.
At DSP Performing, we pride ourselves on offering a highly structured program that caters to students of all abilities. Our aim is to not only help them progress in their dance skills but also nurture their confidence, concentration, and self-discipline, which are invaluable qualities that extend well beyond the dance floor.
As part of our commitment to showcasing the incredible talent of our dancers, we organise two main performances each year. One takes place during the festive season at Wanstead High School, spreading the joy and magic of dance during Christmastime. The second performance serves as an end-of-year extravaganza, providing our dancers with the perfect platform to showcase their growth and artistic prowess.
