Join the Dublin Novice Cross Country Race organized by Sportsworld Running Club. This event is perfect for new runners looking to experience the thrill of cross country running. Unlike track or road races, time is not important in cross country. What matters is the challenging terrain and the team spirit. Participants will navigate through hills, firm ground, and unpredictable weather conditions, making each race unique and memorable.
The Dublin Novice race is a fast 6Km for men and 4Km for women, offering a great starting point for beginners. As you progress, you can compete in higher-level races leading up to the National Senior event. Team medals are highly coveted in cross country races, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and participation.
Gather a group of at least 6 runners from your club to form a team, with the top 4 scorers contributing to the team score. Every team member's position counts, influencing the overall team standings. Don't worry if you excel and win individual medals; it means you're progressing and challenging yourself.
