East Kent Morris is a mixed Morris dancing side based near Ashford, dancing Cotswold-style Morris with bells, sticks and handkerchiefs. Founded in 1953, the group welcomes new dancers of any gender and practices on Wednesday nights from September to April at Mountbatten Hall in Mersham. From May to September they perform at fêtes, festivals and paid stands, plus pub appearances on midweek nights. Expect several traditional styles including Border, Northwest, Longsword, Rapper and Molly.
