Community, and sportsmanship. In 1997, Nickerson Shihan moved to Nova Scotia and founded the Makotokan Dojo in Greenwood. Since then, he has been committed to providing quality Aikido instruction to students of all ages and abilities.

Our goal is to help our students develop not only their physical skills, but also their mental and emotional well-being. We believe that through the practice of Aikido, individuals can learn to find harmony and balance in all aspects of their lives.
