Regular attendees are encouraged to join the British Aikido Association (BAA) after 4–6 weeks, as it provides additional benefits such as insurance coverage and access to gradings, competitions, and seminars.
The club boasts a team of experienced instructors, including Nicole Anson, a 5th Dan Aikido practitioner with over 18 years of experience. Nicole's teaching style is explorative, encouraging students to develop their own skills and optimise their own styles for effective Aikido practise. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Education and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), alongside coaching qualifications at different levels.
Steve Kimber and Jamie Roberts, both holding 2nd Dan rankings, are also part of the dedicated team at Eastleigh Aikido Club. Steve has been training at the club since 2009, participating in National and World Championships. Jamie, on the other hand, started practising Aikido in 1997 and has extensive experience in competitive Aikido and teaching children.
