The club offers training sessions on Tuesdays from 5pm to 7pm, and on Sundays from 9:15am to 12:15pm. All sessions are held at the London Roads Sports Centre in Shrewsbury. Elements Acro Gymnastics Club is a member of British Gymnastics and is affiliated with the West Midlands Amateur Gymnastics Association. They attained the GymMark in April 2007, which certifies that they maintain a safe, effective, and child-friendly environment within the club.
Acrobatic Gymnastics is the main focus at Elements Acro Gymnastics Club. There are three different exercises involved in this discipline: balance, dynamic, and combined. These exercises are performed on a sprung floor without the use of additional apparatus. Gymnasts can participate in various categories, such as Women's Pair, Men's Pair, Mixed Pair, Women's Groups, and Men's Groups.
Additionally, Elements Acro Gymnastics Club also offers tumbling, which involves a series of consecutive somersaults and twists performed on a 25-metre track.
The club is proud to have a dedicated and talented coaching staff. Lisa, the head coach, has a Level 3 qualification in Acrobatics and Level 1 qualifications in Trampolining and Tumbling. Sarah is a coach and welfare officer with a Level 2 qualification in Acrobatics and a Level 1 qualification in Tumbling. Gemma is a coach and first-aider with a Level 2 qualification in Acrobatics and a Level 1 qualification in Tumbling.
Elaine is a coach with a Level 1 qualification in Acrobatics. Hope, Emma, and Ella are also coaches currently training towards their Level 1 qualifications in Acrobatics.
Joining Elements Acro Gymnastics Club is easy. They offer your first session for free, allowing you to experience the club before making a commitment. The club offers different membership options with affordable prices. For the Sunday sessions, the fee is approximately 45 per term, which is paid termly at the beginning of every term.
For the Tuesday sessions, the fee is around 49 per term, also paid termly. Additionally, annual BG insurance is required, with competitive gymnasts paying 35 for 2020/2021, non-competitive gymnasts paying 15, and under 5's paying 13.
