Ellerslie Cricket Club is a community-driven amateur sports club based at Michaels Avenue Reserve in Auckland. With 420 members, our club provides opportunities to play cricket for boys, girls, men, and women of all ages, cultures, and abilities. What sets us apart is our unique and inclusive coaching methodology, known as “The Ellerslie Way,” which prioritises having fun, skills development, and teamwork before competitive excellence. In the 2022/23 season, we celebrated our 100th jubilee, marking a century of cricket history. We are proud to announce the completion of our brand new $7 million clubrooms facility, which we developed in collaboration with the Ellerslie Football Club. This state-of-the-art facility, combined with our new ambitious five-year strategic plan, demonstrates our commitment to achieving great things not just for our club but also for the wider community. Our Junior Club is dedicated to creating opportunities for junior players to develop their skills and passion for the game. We provide coaching and matches for junior cricket players aged five to nineteen. The Junior Club serves as a nurturing environment for young players, allowing them to grow both as cricketers and individuals.
The Senior Club at Ellerslie Cricket Club consists of several teams, including men's and women's teams, as well as social teams for players of all abilities. Our senior players compete in various leagues and competitions throughout Auckland, providing plenty of opportunities for players to challenge themselves and showcase their skills.
Next season, we are excited to move into our newly built clubrooms, located in the brand new Michaels Avenue Community Centre. These modern facilities will further enhance the experience for our members, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment.
