Studley Entaco Bowls Club is situated in Studley, Warwickshire and was founded in 1949. The name ENTACO originates from the previous owners, 'The English Needle and Tackle Company'. The club takes pride in its outdoor flat green bowls facilities, boasting a fine playing green that attracts County and other prestigious matches.
The club's modern clubhouse was built in 2005 and offers a range of amenities for members and visitors. It features a fully equipped kitchen, changing rooms, toilets (including a disabled toilet), and a licenced bar. The clubhouse overlooks the green, providing a picturesque view for players and spectators alike. The club has earned a 5-star hygiene rating from SONA Environmental Health Department in 2013, ensuring cleanliness and quality standards.
Studley Entaco Bowls Club has a dedicated and active membership base of approximately 50 members. Some members enjoy participating in the Tuesday afternoon and Thursday evening roll-up games, while others take part in the 40+ friendly matches against local clubs in Warwickshire and Worcestershire. These matches include various categories such as Men's, Ladies', and Mixed matches, providing opportunities for all members to engage and compete.
The club organises a variety of competitions throughout the season, culminating in a finals day at the end of the season. Members interested in competitive play can also join teams that participate in the local INTERBERGA and REDDITCH Triples leagues. Additionally, ambitious players have the opportunity to compete in Warwickshire, South Warwickshire, County, and National competitions.
