Eynsham Skatepark, located on Oxford Road in Witney, is a fantastic facility that showcases what can be achieved through the efforts of a small group of determined young individuals. Thanks to their hard work and the support of the community, the skatepark officially opened on September 9, 2016, with a launch event and BBQ organised by the Eynsham Rotarians.
The success of Eynsham Skatepark is largely due to the coordination of grants and planning applications by Community First, as well as funding from organisations such as WREN – FCC Community Action Fund, Rotary Club of Eynsham, Cottsway Community Fund, and the Doris Field Trust. The skatepark committee, which includes representatives from the Eynsham Youth Centre, has put in a tremendous amount of effort to make this facility a reality.
The skatepark features state-of-the-art equipment and provides a safe and enjoyable space for skateboarders, BMX riders, and scooter enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. It is equipped with various ramps, rails, and obstacles that cater to different riding styles and abilities. Whether you're a beginner looking to learn new tricks or an experienced rider seeking a challenging course, Eynsham Skatepark has something for everyone.
The skatepark is easily accessible and is located on Oxford Road in Eynsham, Oxfordshire. Visitors can find the skatepark adjacent to the Bartholomew Room Village Hall. There are waste bins conveniently placed throughout the skatepark to keep the area clean and tidy.
