About
Gemma Smith warmly invites the sports community to explore Felixstowe Yoga Studio, located in the heart of Felixstowe. At the studio, individuals of all levels can come together to practise yoga in a welcoming and comfortable environment.
Gemma, a professional yoga teacher, leads the sessions with a focus on individual well-being. She tailors her classes to meet each person’s needs, ensuring they leave feeling both challenged and invigorated. Her background in movement, anatomy, physiology, and injury treatment, supported by her British Wheel of Yoga Diploma, equips her to guide students through their yoga journey effectively.
Gemma has a history of teaching dance and fitness in Felixstowe, and she’s now dedicated to helping people through her yoga classes. She believes yoga is for everyone, regardless of flexibility, shape, weight, or age. Her classes incorporate a mix of floor exercises, standing poses, balances, breathing exercises, and meditation to support individuals in their daily lives.
One specialised class offered at Felixstowe Yoga Studio is “Yoga for Back and Chronic Pain,” aimed at those dealing with such issues. This floor-based class involves gentle movements and stretches, using the ground for support.
Students of Gemma frequently report improvements in their posture, strength, flexibility, and breathing. Many have also found the classes help reduce anxiety and encourage letting go of stress factors.
Gemma invites anyone interested in trying yoga to visit her studio for an informal chat. The first lesson is free, providing an opportunity to experience the benefits of her classes without commitment.
