With purpose-built workshops, Fenix Carriage & Driving Centre has been involved in numerous carriage conservation projects for museums and collections across the UK and USA.

Their restoration process begins with a thorough assessment of each carriage, followed by disassembly and restoration using traditional methods and skilled craftsmen. From rebuilding and repairing to repainting and retrimming, Fenix Carriage & Driving Centre ensures that each carriage is restored to its original condition, paying meticulous attention to every detail.

One of the unique aspects of Fenix Carriage & Driving Centre is their in-house Springsmith, Pete, who hand-builds springs, shackles, and forgework for their carriages. With their own spring tempering furnace and oil bath, Fenix Carriage & Driving Centre offers customers the opportunity to have truly bespoke vehicles or restore old ones correctly and safely. Every spring is individually made to suit the vehicle and new owner, following the highest standards and traditional methods.
