First Kicks, run by North Wellington FC, is an exciting local activity designed specifically for young children aged between 4 and 6 years old. The main goal of this activity is to introduce enthusiastic little ones to the wonderful world of football and cultivate a passion for the sport from an early age.
At First Kicks, the focus is all about maximum participation. We want these young players to have as much time with the ball as possible, helping them develop their football technique, coordination, and general movement skills. Our sessions are packed with a variety of football-based activities that are not only enjoyable but also designed to enhance their overall gameplay.
Taking place every Saturday morning at the stunning Alex Moore Park in Johnsonville, this is the perfect opportunity for children who will be turning 5 or 6 in 2023 to get involved. We allocate players to teams, often grouping them with their friends or classmates, and ensure they have enthusiastic parent coaches to guide them throughout the season.
To join in on the fun, there is a registration fee of $80.00 for the entire First Kicks Winter Season in 2023. Registration opens on 01/02/2023, so mark that date in your calendars! We recommend participants come prepared with suitable clothing and equipment for the weather conditions, as football is a winter sport and we love playing rain or shine.
