Known for bringing folks together over the thrilling art of mountaineering, Jason’s outfit offers a mix of programmes and expeditions that go beyond just climbing. It’s all about unlocking self-discovery and personal growth.
With over 15 years in the mountains, Jason isn’t just any guide—he’s also a coach and mentor. First Light Guiding equips you with skills and knowledge to chase your goals. Focusing on physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual growth, Jason takes you through some of the wildest and scenic terrains.
What makes this experience different is the combination of coaching and mountaineering. Daily challenges and debriefs encourage growth and fulfilment in ways you wouldn’t typically find on a standard climb. Jason and his team take the time to understand your personal goals, ensuring each mountaineering trip is tailored just for you.
First Light Guiding offers various expeditions locally and internationally. Their top trip? The Peru: Moderate Technical Mountaineering, a 16-day journey taking on Ishinca, Tocllaraju, and Chopicalqui—ideal for those looking for a bit of a challenge. There’s also the Peru: Self Mastery Through Mountaineering, a 10-day soul-searching mountain retreat. For the more daring, the Three Peaks Expedition offers a thrilling 18-day climb up to 6025m in the stunning Cordillera Blanca.
On top of these cool adventures, First Light Guiding also dishes out nifty resources. From regular updates and book launches to snack tips, warm-up exercises, and a blog full of insights—you’ve got everything you need to gear up for your next climb.
