Fish Her Charters offers a great way to explore the Western Bays of Lake Taupo, New Zealand. Operating out of the Kinloch Marina, the charter has easy access to the stunning scenery and fantastic trout fishing that the Western Bays have to offer. Unlike other crowded fishing spots, Fish Her Charters provides a peaceful and serene environment for anglers to enjoy some peace and quiet.

The Skipper, Susan Hastie, has been fishing Lake Taupo her whole life and has turned her passion into her business. With 18 years of experience in fishing the Western Bays, she is knowledgeable about the area and eager to share her fishing experiences with guests. Susan also ties her own flies, adding a personalised touch to the fishing trips.

The charter's boat is a 2011, 6. 2 metre Stabicraft hardtop, powered by a 115hp Yamaha 4 stroke engine. It is equipped with the latest electronic and safety gear onboard, ensuring a comfortable and safe fishing or sightseeing experience. Fish Her Charters offers several methods of fishing, including trolling, harling, jigging, and down rigging.

All fishing gear is provided, and guests can enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, and baking on board.

For fishing trips, the charter recommends a minimum of 3 hours, allowing ample time to explore the Western Bays and catch some trout. Scenic cruises are also available, starting at 1 hour, offering guests the opportunity to experience the untouched beauty of the Western Bays with no road access.

In addition to fishing and scenic cruises, Fish Her Charters offers a water taxi service for rock climbing enthusiasts. The water taxi operates between Kinloch and Kawakawa Bay, with availability for up to 5 people and gear. The charter also offers water taxi services to other bays by arrangement.

The package deal offered by Fish Her Charters includes a 4-hour charter on Lake Taupo, fishing in the Western Bays, and a visit to a remote scenic beach surrounded by native bush. Guests can also enjoy a short walk up the boardwalks beside the Kotukutuku waterfall before returning to the beach for tea, coffee, and baking. The cost for this package deal is $410 for the entire boat, not per person. Guests must provide their own current Lake Taupo fishing licence.
