Chris Morgan, the organiser at Flashpoint Swansea, has put together a note for the sports community to share what they’ve got in store at this bustling hub of activity.

Flashpoint Swansea, located in Parc Tawe in the centre of Swansea, has something for everyone. Chris is passionate about creating a space where climbers of all abilities can come to train, socialise, and enjoy the sport. From beginners to experienced climbers, the constantly changing bouldering routes keep things fresh and challenging.

Regular boulder socials are a staple here, providing climbers with the chance to swap tips and advice in a supportive atmosphere. For those new to the sport, Taster Sessions are available, where friendly instructors guide you through the basics. Or, you can join a Boulder Social session, where local climbers are always ready to lend a hand. Experienced climbers just need to watch a short video induction, agree to the conditions of use, and fill out a registration form to get climbing.

Families with children are well catered for too. While the main climbing area welcomes climbers aged 7 and above, the Crazy Climb centre is perfect for children aged 5 and up. Parents registered at Flashpoint Swansea can supervise two children over the age of 7, but remember, their safety is in your hands. Special consent forms are needed for 14 and 15-year-old climbers, and Chris insists on parents visiting the centre to complete the necessary paperwork together.

There's also a children's café on site, offering a range of snacks and drinks. It’s a great spot for families to relax and refuel. The party service is ideal for children's birthdays, providing a fun and adventurous setting for celebrations.
