Flaxmere parkrun

Hey sports community,

Just a heads up from Alex, your local organiser for Flaxmere parkrun. If you haven’t already heard, this community event happens every Saturday at 8:00 a.m. in Flaxmere Park, Hastings. It’s a great chance for everyone—no matter your fitness level—to come together for a run, jog, or walk around the park.

Each week, people of all ages gather for a relaxed 5-kilometre course through the park’s scenic routes. It’s not just about the exercise; it’s about being part of a welcoming group that cheers you on. Whether you're an experienced runner or just starting out, you’ll fit right in.

The park’s paths wind past native trees and serene lakes, making it a lovely spot for a morning run. And it’s free to join! Just register online before your first event, which also lets you track your progress.

One of the best parts? The camaraderie. Volunteers and fellow runners create a supportive atmosphere, and there’s always a chance for a chat and a coffee afterwards. It’s a fantastic way to make new friends and enjoy the outdoors.
