About
Welcome to Fleming Park Bowling Club! Mike, the organiser, in Eastleigh, extends a warm invitation to all bowlers, no matter your level of experience. Mike wants everyone to feel welcome – whether you're just picking up a bowl or you've been playing for years.
For the newbies, there’s free tuition at times that suit both the working folks and retirees. And if you’re a seasoned player, there are plenty of experienced members ready to share tips and advice.
Newcomers are encouraged to join in the friendly matches and league games. It’s a great way to get some practice, learn the ropes, and improve your game. Plus, Mike organises one-day tournaments that are seeded, offering a fair and competitive event for all. These tournaments aren't just about the competition; they're brilliant for meeting other bowlers and having a bit of fun too.
Mike knows the club's history is worth a mention. Established back in 1937 and moved to its current spot in 1980, the club resides in the Fleming Park Leisure complex on Passfield Avenue. It’s a lovely spot surrounded by greenery with two greens to choose from – one grass and one artificial. The location is convenient with easy access to the M3 and M27, and there’s plenty of free parking.
So, if you're ready to dive into bowls, whether you're looking for a new club or just keen to learn, Mike and the team at Fleming Park Bowling Club are eager to welcome you. Come along and be part of this lively community!
