Chris Dore is a highly experienced and well-respected fly-fishing guide in Queenstown, with 20 years of guiding under his belt. He is a member of the New Zealand Professional Fishing Guides Association and is also one of the first New Zealanders to pass the internationally recognised Federation of Fly Fishers Certified Casting Instructors examination in 2006.

Chris specialises in fly-fishing tuition, providing guided sight fishing opportunities on the stunning trout streams of the lower South Island of New Zealand. He takes a highly instructional and fun-filled approach to fly-fishing, believing that “life's too short to not catch fish. ” His guiding area includes the Otago, Southland, and Mackenzie regions, covering popular fishing spots such as Queenstown, Gore, Lumsden, Twizel, Te Anau, and Haast.

When not guiding, Chris serves as the Marketing and Promotions Ambassador for Manic Tackle Project, the largest fly-fishing tackle distributor in New Zealand and Australia. He hosts public events, talks, fly casting demonstrations, and product demos for well-known brands such as Simms, Scott Fly Rods, Waterworks Lamson, and many more.
