Located in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Football des Hautes Rivires is a football club dedicated to providing top-tier training and opportunities for young athletes in the region. The club offers a unique Sport-tude program for students looking to combine academic excellence with athletic development. Students with a clean academic record can replace their last class of the day with a two-hour sports session. The Sport-tude program runs daily from 2pm to 4pm at the Alphonse-Desjardins Stadium during warmer months and at the Blackbox facility during the winter.
The program includes a focus on multisport training, athletic development, and tactical coaching. Students interested in joining the Sport-tude program must submit an application form through their school. Classes are held at St-Lucien for 5th and 6th grade, Marguerite-Bourgeoys for 7th and 8th grade, and Josphine-Dandurand for 9th to 11th grade. Students from St-John's can be admitted without changing schools, but spots are limited.
For students aged 12 to 17 on January 1st, Football des Hautes Rivires offers a competitive football team experience. Practices are held three times a week with one match per week. The club provides equipment, except for mouth guards and cleats, as well as transportation to and from practices and games.
