Forrestfield Skate Park is one of our proudest achievements. Located in the heart of Forrestfield, this skatepark is a reflection of our commitment to engaging with the local community and creating spaces that cater to the needs and desires of skaters of all skill levels.
Covering an area of 600m2, the Forrestfield Skate Park offers a variety of features and obstacles to challenge and inspire skaters. From ramps and rails to ledges and banks, the park provides endless possibilities for creative tricks and stunts.
The design of the skatepark was a result of an extensive community engagement process. We conducted three design workshops, which allowed us to gather valuable input from local skaters and community members. Through surveys, social media groups, and workshops, we were able to involve over 130 individuals in the design process. This collaborative approach ensured that the skatepark reflected the wishes and aspirations of the community.
In addition to the skatepark, the Forrestfield Youth Space also includes a basketball court, a nature play area, a public art sculptural work, a barbeque area, a water fountain, landscaping, seating, shading, and additional play equipment. This multifunctional space offers something for everyone and encourages social interaction and active lifestyles.
Skate Sculpture completed the design and construction of the Forrestfield Skate Park on-time and within the allocated budget. The project received widespread acclaim and recognition, including an award from the Planning Institute of Australia for Planning Excellence in the category of Public Engagement and Community Development. This recognition validates our commitment to creating spaces that not only meet the needs of skaters but also foster a sense of community pride and ownership.
