Located on the picturesque Bedford Channel in Fort Langley, the Fort Langley Youth Rowing Society (FLYRS) has been offering youth rowing programs since 2009. Catering to students in Grades 8-12 from Langley, Surrey, and Abbotsford, FLYRS is a vibrant and inclusive rowing club dedicated to developing young athletes both on and off the water.
FLYRS offers a variety of programs to suit different skill levels and interests. The competitive team trains year-round, preparing for regattas across British Columbia. The team is composed of a mix of novice rowers and varsity athletes, all working towards achieving their personal best and potentially transitioning to university rowing teams.
For those looking to dip their toes into the world of rowing, FLYRS offers a Learn to Row program during the summer months. These one-week camps are designed for youth entering Grades 8-12 and provide a fun and supportive environment for beginners to learn the basics of rowing.
The club prides itself on its coaching staff, who are dedicated to fostering a love for rowing and instilling values such as teamwork and sportsmanship in their athletes. Whether it's celebrating victories or personal achievements, FLYRS is committed to supporting its members every step of the way.
