At Fortress Ski Area, guests can expect a true Canadian mountain experience with 750 cm (300 inches) of average annual snowfall, wind-protected slopes, incredible tree skiing, and acres of stunning terrain to explore. Located just over one hour west of Calgary in Kananaskis Country, Fortress offers a slightly remote yet magical setting for winter adventures.

While currently closed for lift-accessed services, Fortress is undergoing an extensive redevelopment program that will include new lifts, a new lodge, and more. Additionally, the resort is expanding its offerings to include summer programs, making it a year-round adventure destination.

In the meantime, guests can still enjoy activities such as KPOW Cat Skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, fishing, and filming at Fortress Mountain Resort. The resort has also been a popular filming location for Hollywood blockbusters such as The Revenant, Cold Pursuit, and Jumanji.
