Four Oaks Badminton Club

Four Oaks Badminton Club is a friendly and local badminton club located in Walsall, north of Birmingham. With over 65 years of existence, the club caters to both social and league players at an intermediate or advanced level. The club nights, which use feather shuttles, take place every Sunday throughout the year. However, it is important to note that due to the advanced level of most players, the club is unable to accommodate beginners or those who are still learning the game.

The club prides itself on providing a fun and social environment during the club nights. These evenings consist of doubles games where members can engage in friendly competition. The club welcomes both visitors and new members, so anyone interested in joining is encouraged to get in touch.

To make it easier for members, Four Oaks Badminton Club no longer operates a yearly membership fee. Instead, players simply pay and play on the night of the session. The cost per session is 6 or 7, depending on the number of players in attendance. The club operates a WhatsApp group to communicate the number of players expected, and new players can be added to the group.

The club also offers junior coaching to children of all ages and abilities. The classes are conducted by a UKCC Level 2 qualified coach who is accredited by Badminton England. The coaching sessions are designed to be fun and enjoyable for the younger players.

For those interested in joining the junior coaching programme, there is a form available on the website. Potential participants can fill out the form with their contact information, including their name, telephone number, email address, and the child's age. It is important to note that there was a technical issue with the form between July 1st and October 15th, preventing responses from being received. However, any emails sent after August 1st, 2023, have been retrieved and addressed.
