Franklin Bridge Club

Franklin Bridge Club, right in the heart of Pukekohe, New Zealand, has been a staple of the community since 1957. Malcolm and the team are proud of their warm, country-style hospitality and are all about making bridge fun for everyone, regardless of age, race, or nationality.

They run four bridge sessions a week, both during the day and in the evenings, to fit around everyone's busy lives. These sessions are a great chance to meet up, play cards, and enjoy some face-to-face competition and camaraderie.

Malcolm is keen on inviting new players to their bridge lessons starting in March 2024. These lessons are social, fun, and a perfect brain workout. Each session kicks off with an hour of instruction followed by an hour of card play where experienced members are on hand to guide and coach beginners. The first two lessons are free, so newcomers can test the waters before diving in. After that, there's a $60 fee which covers teaching materials, club membership for the rest of the year, and NZ Bridge affiliation.

Once the lessons are done, new players are encouraged to join in on the Wednesday Introductory evenings, partnering with seasoned players for a friendly night of bridge. And for those wanting to brush up on their Acol bidding, these sessions are ideal for refining skills and staying engaged.
