About
David, the organiser, wants to share some exciting details about the French Farm Aquatic Club with the sports community. Nestled in French Farm, Canterbury, this club is all about sailing and water activities, perfectly sitting on the west side of the Banks Peninsula.
The club is a relaxing spot with stunning views of the sailboats anchored in the sheltered bay. Members and visitors are welcome to enjoy the club's facilities, which include bathrooms, a comfy lounge, a library, a kitchen with tea and coffee, and a barbecue area on the terrace. There's also a jetty and storage space for small boats.
Nearby, visitors can check out Barry's Bay Cheese Factory, a general store, and a pub in Duvauchelle, just past the peninsula.
The club also offers boat wintering services for $100, covering haul-out, three days on the hardstand, and re-launching. Additional days cost $20 for the first week, then $30 per day. Non-member rates are double, and you can even buy a club badge for $25.
Throughout the year, the club hosts regular events and talks. For more details, you can get in touch with any committee member.
Come join the French Farm Aquatic Club and enjoy its prime spot on Akaroa Harbour, the perfect place for maritime adventures in New Zealand.
