Originally opened in 1967 by Queen Elizabeth II, the Billingham Forum Ice Arena is a historical town landmark located in the heart of Billingham town centre. After undergoing extensive redevelopment, it was reopened in 2011 and has since become the North East's premier Ice Arena.
Home to local ice hockey heroes Billingham Stars and Cleveland Comets, as well as the Billingham Ice Skating Club, the Forum Ice Arena offers a variety of ice sessions to cater to all skating abilities. Our very own figure skating club, Billingham Ice Skating Club, puts on a range of shows throughout the year, including our annual ice pantomime every Christmas.
But don't worry if you're not a skating pro! The Forum Ice Arena welcomes everyone, from competent skaters to those who feel a bit like “Bambi on ice.” We encourage you to enrol in our Learn to Skate programme, where you can enhance your skills and gain the confidence to glide gracefully on the ice.
If you're looking for a night of dancing and fun, join us for our Friday Night Pulse sessions. Or, if you want to spend quality time with the whole family, our Simply Skate sessions are perfect for you. We also offer a friendly and welcoming disability session called SNAPS (special needs activities with parent support), providing additional support on the ice for those who require it. SNAPS has been supporting families and promoting enjoyable activities for over 20 years.
For even more great activities, head over to their website or visit our access for all page to discover activities across all Tees Active venues. Check the timetable and slide on over to the Billingham Forum Ice Arena. We'll provide the skates and stability aids if required – just bring a sense of fun and make sure to bundle up, as it can get a bit chilly in here!
Come and create your very own Frozen adventure at the North East's coolest ice arena, Billingham Forum Ice Arena.
