Furness Diving Club, situated in Barrow-in-Furness, is a friendly SCUBA diving club affiliated with the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC). With around 45 members from different walks of life, Furness Diving Club offers a great place for diving enthusiasts to come together and explore the wonders beneath the waves.
Founded in the 1950s, Furness Diving Club has a rich past. Back then, the pioneers of Furness Diving Club trained in Cavendish Dock, facing chilly waters armed only with jeans and woolly jumpers. Nowadays, their training is top-notch, especially for beginners. Anyone aged 10 and above can dive into this exciting sport with expert guidance.
For those already trained with PADI, SSI, or any other agency, Furness Diving Club is perfect for honing your skills and enjoying memorable dives. By joining, you'll have the chance to explore varied diving spots, both locally and abroad, while sharing the journey with fellow divers.
New to diving? No problem! Furness Diving Club welcomes newcomers. They offer Try Dive sessions, where a BSAC Instructor will introduce you to the basics in a one-hour pool session. The Try Dive donation is £20, covering all the scuba gear you'll need.
