Since 1967, Gladwin Ballet and Stage School has been a cornerstone of dance education in Ashington. Performance opportunities are plenty. Students can showcase their skills in two annual shows hosted by the school and at various events across the country. These performances help build confidence and stage presence.

The school also organises workshops with industry professionals. Past sessions with stars like Meesha Garbett from Matilda and Mia Diaz from Dance Moms: Miami have offered students invaluable insights into the world of dance.

Miss Jessie is committed to the community and regularly engages in charity work. Fundraisers like movie nights, bake sales, pub quizzes, and parties help raise money for costumes and equipment, ensuring all students can participate without financial worries.

Examinations and scholarships are a big focus at Gladwin Ballet and Stage School. Annual exams with the British Association of Teachers of Dancing offer formal recognition of students’ achievements. Exceptional students might even qualify for the BATD Scholarships.

Competitions are another highlight, with a minimum of four each year. These events give students the chance to challenge themselves and shine on a competitive stage. Those who excel may even compete in championships.
