Glen Forrest Netball Club is a prominent sports club located in Perth, Western Australia. It is affiliated with the Eastern Hills Netball Association (EHNA), which has a rich history dating back to 1961.
The club was initially formed when two teams, the Swans and Beavers, from the Mundaring area joined forces to play netball. Subsequently, in 1962, six teams from Parkerville, Sawyers Valley, Glen Forrest, Mt Helena, and Mundaring came together to participate in the inaugural season. Darlington joined the association in 1963.
Currently, Glen Forrest Netball Club boasts a strong presence in the netball community, with over 70 teams consisting of players aged six and above. The club is part of the EHNA, which comprises multiple clubs and independent teams.
To ensure a fair and enjoyable playing environment, the club adheres to the EHNA constitution, regulations, by-laws, and codes of conduct. These guidelines are designed to promote sportsmanship, player safety, and the overall growth and development of the sport. In addition, Glen Forrest Netball Club actively participates in the EHNA Development Programme, which focuses on enhancing skills and fostering a love for netball among both new and experienced players.
The club also places a strong emphasis on umpire education and follows the guidelines provided by the Netball Western Australia Umpire Education programme. By encouraging umpire development and providing a comprehensive umpire information programme, the club strives to maintain the integrity and fairness of every match.
