Glenmore Bulls AFC is a proud and family-oriented sports club located in Kawana. The club is primarily focused on Australian Football League (AFL) and aims to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for players of all ages and skill levels.
The Senior Men's team is actively recruiting fresh AFL talent and encourages aspiring players to join the club. The coaching staff, led by Tim Higgins as the senior coach and Glenn Bauer as the reserve grade coach, is dedicated to mentoring and developing players to reach their full potential. The club offers sponsorship opportunities for players, allowing them to receive support with registration fees and playing essentials for the 2023 season.
The Women's team at Glenmore Bulls AFC is also actively recruiting new players. As a local Rockhampton team with a remarkable record of seven leadingships, the women's team prides itself on inclusivity and fostering a love for the game. Regardless of experience level, all women are encouraged to attend training sessions on Mondays and Thursdays from 5:30pm to 7pm. The coaching staff, led by Joel Kilpatrick as the women's coach and Grace Gryphon as the U15.
5 Girls coach, is committed to nurturing and empowering female athletes.
The club also places a strong emphasis on youth and junior development. Glenmore Bulls AFC welcomes children of all ages and abilities to join their AFL programme. As a not-for-profit organisation, the club instils values of good sportsmanship and fair play in children, promoting health, fitness, and inclusiveness. Through their established pathway system, the club has produced numerous representative junior AFL players from Capricornia, North Queensland, and Queensland.
Training sessions for youth and juniors take place at the club's home ground, Stenlake Park in Kawana. With teams ranging from U7. 5 to U17. 5, the club participates in the Capricornia AFL league, encompassing Rockhampton, Gladstone, and Yeppoon.
The club follows modified AFL rules for younger age groups, with games umpired by coaches and no scores kept. The primary focus is on skill development, encouraging participation, and ensuring that children have fun.
