The Gold Coast Sharks Lacrosse Club is excited to announce an upcoming event that is sure to captivate all lacrosse enthusiasts. With a strong emphasis on the safety and well-being of our players, we urge all supporters, umpires, coaches, players, and parents to obtain a Blue Card.
Designed to ensure the utmost security for children involved in our club, a Blue Card is mandatory for individuals aged 18 and above who wish to umpire, coach, or volunteer around children, regardless of whether they are players themselves or parents of club members. We take the safety of our young players seriously, and this requirement helps to create a protective environment for all.
To make the process as seamless as possible, we have attached the Blue Card application form for your convenience. Please fill out the form and return it to our diligent Secretary. It's important to note that individuals under the age of 18 are exempt from obtaining a Blue Card, as we fully understand their participation is solely based on their passion for the game.
Thankfully, obtaining a Volunteer Blue Card comes at no cost, as there is no application fee. This is a wonderful opportunity for all eligible individuals to contribute positively to the club and play an active role in shaping the future of our young athletes. By stepping up and obtaining a Blue Card, each person plays a vital part in creating a safe environment where children can thrive and develop their skills without any concerns.
So, let's come together as a community and embrace this opportunity to prioritise the safety and wellbeing of our players. We encourage all interested parties to take the necessary steps in acquiring their Blue Card and join us in our commitment to maintaining a secure and enjoyable environment for all those involved.
We sincerely appreciate your cooperation and support in this endeavour, as it showcases the true spirit of the Gold Coast Sharks Lacrosse Club. Together, we can make a difference and set the standard of excellence when it comes to safeguarding our club's youngest members.
