The Gold Coast Marlins is a renowned sports club located in Gold Coast, Australia. The club was established in 1972, and since then, it has become a prominent name in the winter swimming community.
In 1973, the Marlins became affiliated with the Winter Swimming Association, which allowed them to compete at the National Titles. Over the years, the Marlins have hosted the National Titles three times and emerged victorious on all three occasions. This success has solidified their presence as one of the top winter swimming clubs in the country.
The Gold Coast Marlins actively participate in various events and carnivals throughout the year. They host the Doug Jennings Memorial Day and also take part in three annual carnivals shared between the Northern Clubs. These events provide swimmers with a platform to showcase their skills and compete against some of the best swimmers in the region.
The Marlins train at the Miami Aquatic Centre, located at 80 Pacific Avenue, Miami. Every Sunday from May to September, the club gathers at 9. 00am for a 9. 30am swim.

The Gold Coast Marlins are proud members of the Winter Swimming Association of Australia. The association was formed in 1976 and brought together winter swimming clubs from various parts of the country. The objective of the association is to organise annual winter swimming competitions and foster a sense of camaraderie between the member clubs. Today, over 5,000 swimmers participate in these competitions during the winter months of May to September.
The Gold Coast Marlins take part in the WSAA Championships, which are held on the third Sunday in September. At these championships, over 1,000 swimmers from across Australia participate in thirty-two different events. The championships have seen the participation of over 200 Olympians and numerous Surf Life Saving Australia champions. The prestigious event has grown significantly since its inception, and various new events have been added over the years to encourage wider participation.
