Golden Triangle Aikido

Golden Triangle Aikido, located in Waterloo, Ontario, is an Aikikai affiliated martial arts school that specializes in Iwama Ryu Aikido. Founded and led by Sensei Stefan Barton, a Rokudan (6th dan) under the Aikikai World Headquarters in Tokyo, the dojo has been serving the Waterloo Region for over 20 years.

At Golden Triangle Aikido, new students are always welcome. Aikido is a very accessible martial art that is open to all, regardless of age or fitness level. The dojo prides itself on creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all who are interested in learning and practising Aikido.

Sensei Stefan Barton is not only a highly skilled Aikido practitioner, but also the Chief Instructor of Filipino Martial Arts of Kitchener. With over four world titles in Full Contact Single and Double Stick sparring as well as in Sword competition, he brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the dojo. Under his guidance, students have achieved world titles and medals at both the National and World levels.
