The main course, known locally as “the Big Course,” was redesigned by former Open Champion James Braid in 1924. Stretching over 5,850 yards, the course may not be the longest by modern standards, but it certainly presents a formidable test. With its tight fairways and small undulating greens, players will need to bring their A-game to navigate through this semi-moorland terrain. Tree-lined fairways, strategically placed burns, and bunkers add further challenges, ensuring an exciting round for every golfer.

For those looking for a more relaxed yet challenging experience, the club offers a 9-hole course known as the “Wee Course. ” This course intertwines with the Big Course, providing a variety of different challenges. Don't be fooled by its lack of Par 5s and bunkers; the Wee Course is a tough little gem that will both impress and challenge golfers in equal measure.
