North West Canoe Club is excited to invite all paddling enthusiasts to the Gregory River Canoe Marathon happening in Mount Isa, Australia. This thrilling event promises a fun and challenging experience for both amateur and serious competitors.
The main race, stretching over 42 kilometers, will test the skills and endurance of participants as they navigate the scenic Gregory River. For those looking for a slightly shorter challenge, the Recreational Short Race covers a 17-kilometer route.
Individuals aged 16 and above are welcome to join the main race, while 14 to 15-year-olds can participate alongside an adult. Make sure your boat meets the minimum length requirement of 4.5 meters for the 42-kilometer race.
Exciting prizes and cash rewards await winners in various race categories, adding an extra layer of competition to the event. If you need equipment, experienced paddlers can rent gear from North West Canoe Club.
