GroupEx Taekwondo, the popular Fitness club in Faversham, is thrilled to announce that they will be bringing their dynamic and exciting classes to GroupEx Fit UK Studio in 2023. Led by the highly experienced Instructor Neil, who boasts an impressive 20 years of experience in various forms of Taekwondo and martial arts, these classes are not to be missed.
Participants in GroupEx Taekwondo classes will have the opportunity to learn a wide range of techniques, including punching, kicking, spinning kicks, and jumping kicks. The classes follow a Kukkiwon aligned syllabus, ensuring that students receive top-quality instruction. In addition to these techniques, the syllabus also includes real-world self-defence techniques, providing participants with valuable skills for everyday life.
One of the highlights of GroupEx Taekwondo is their comprehensive belt system. Students have the chance to progress through various levels, including the coveted Black Belt, Junior Black Belt (or Poom Dan), and the Red & Black Striped Belt. For those who are 16 years old and above, they will have the opportunity to retake the Black Belt Exam at no extra charge, giving them the chance to earn their solid black Black Belt with Dan Bars. Gradings take place every 3 months, and each belt level requires the completion of specific ability and fitness requirements. Before each grading, participants must complete 4 stripes, showcasing their dedication and progress.
Flexibility plays a crucial role in WT Taekwondo, and GroupEx Taekwondo ensures that participants receive comprehensive training in this aspect. The classes incorporate drills and exercise routines designed to improve kicking height and power, allowing students to enhance their overall performance. It's worth mentioning that GroupEx Taekwondo is proud to be affiliated with the BMABA (British Martial Arts & Boxing Association), which means that all gradings are nationally recognised and registered in the BMABA Database for authenticity.
In addition to Taekwondo training, GroupEx Fit UK Studio also offers weapons training. Nunchaku classes are available on Thursdays at 8pm, starting in 2024. Instructor Neil, a decorated champion in national and international weapons tournaments, leads these classes with expertise and passion. Bojutsu or Bo Staff training is mainly conducted during the summer months as it requires outdoor space.
GroupEx Taekwondo understands the importance of accessibility and offers both online and studio programs. To join, there is a yearly license fee of £15 and a colour grading fee of £25. For those looking to attend one class per week, the monthly fee is £26. Alternatively, individuals can opt for two classes per week for £39. For those who are new to Taekwondo, GroupEx Taekwondo also provides free tryout lessons specifically tailored for White Belts.
