Sharks Volleyball, the premier Volleyball club in Mansfield, is proud to announce the launch of the Guppies Program! This exciting initiative is specifically designed to introduce young children, aged 1-5, to the world of Volleyball and provide them with a fun and engaging learning experience.
In Australia, Volleyball is often overlooked in favour of more mainstream sports. However, we at Sharks Volleyball believe that this fantastic game has so much to offer, especially when it comes to teaching important life skills such as teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship.
The Guppies Program takes place as an incursion activity at various Kindergartens and Early Learning Centres in the area. Our highly qualified staff will visit these centres for sessions lasting up to an hour. During these sessions, they will guide the children through various activities that aim to improve their Volleyball skills, boost their social participation, and, most importantly, create a nurturing and enjoyable environment for them to learn and grow.
What sets the Guppies Program apart is its continuity. We understand the importance of consistency in a child's development, which is why our sessions run across multiple weeks. This allows the children to form meaningful connections with our staff, who serve as positive role models throughout the entire duration of the program.
By participating in the Guppies Program, children will not only have a blast playing Volleyball but also develop crucial skills that will benefit them in many aspects of their lives. Whether they continue their journey in Volleyball or pursue other interests, the lessons learned during these early years will serve as a strong foundation for their future endeavours.
So, if you have a little one who is eager to explore a new sport and make some new friends along the way, don't miss out on the Guppies Program by Sharks Volleyball. Join us in making Volleyball more accessible to the next generation and give your child the opportunity to learn, grow, and have a whale of a time!
