GymbaROO Hawthorn in Adelaide is thrilled to announce an upcoming Movement event for babies and children from birth to five years old. This local sports club, founded by Margaret Sasse, is dedicated to promoting neurology and child development through fun and engaging activities.
Margaret, a farmer's wife, mother of five, and ex-nurse, had a vision to support child development by focusing on early movement patterns. She firmly believed that these patterns create essential neuronal pathways in the brain, laying the groundwork for higher-order thinking. Despite initial resistance, Margaret's determination led her to establish ANSUA (A New Start for Under Achievers) in 1972. This non-profit organisation provided sensorimotor programs for children facing learning difficulties.
However, Margaret recognised that early intervention was key, and she wanted to offer programs for babies, toddlers, and pre-school children to prevent learning difficulties from arising. Ignoring the dismissals from educational experts, Margaret continued her research. In 1982, her perseverance paid off when GymbaROO was born. This fantastic sports club first started in a local church hall, utilising specially designed equipment crafted by Margaret's husband, Harry.
Fast-forward to today, and GymbaROO has evolved into a comprehensive movement-based program. Their mission extends beyond simply entertaining children; they strive to empower parents with the knowledge and tools to give their little ones a solid foundation for future learning.
With the upcoming Movement event, GymbaROO Hawthorn invites interested players to join them for an unforgettable experience. They will guide children through a series of activities that enhance their motor skills, balance, coordination, and brain development. It's an excellent opportunity for parents to actively participate and bond with their little ones while fostering essential developmental milestones.
So, mark your calendars and spread the word! GymbaROO Hawthorn's Movement event promises to be a memorable occasion for babies and children up to five years old. Don't miss out on this chance to nurture your child's growth and development through engaging and exciting activities. Join the GymbaROO community today!
