Thinking about trying something new and exciting? Hamilton Kung Fu - Nam Wah Pai Kung Fu (Hamilton) is the place to be! Located in Hamilton, this top-notch martial arts club offers instruction in Nam Wah Pai Kung Fu, blending modern self-defence with traditional practices. You’ll get to learn kicks, punches, katas, weapons, and give free sparring a go.
The club is open to everyone, no matter your age or fitness level. It’s all about discipline, fitness, and boosting self-confidence. Classes are on Mondays from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm and Wednesdays from 6:30 pm at the Hamilton Girls High School Gym, Hill Street. Plus, there’s plenty of off-street parking.
You'll be in good hands with instructors like Nigel McDonald, a 7th Degree Black Belt and Master Instructor, who’s the NZ Deputy Chief Instructor. He’s joined by other skilled instructors such as Brent Hughes, Daniel Long, Neve Hamond, Darrell Shaw, Elise Kennard, Hithen Raaj, and Selam Simon.
Curious? Come and try a free class! Your first week is on the house. Just rock up in some comfy gear and be ready to start on time. The club offers gradings, free sparring, weapon training, and much more.
Can’t make it in person? No worries, there’s online training too, perfect for continuing practice anytime, especially during lockdowns.
