Chris, the organiser at Hangdog, ensures there are climbing options for everyone. The roped climbing walls are perfect for adults and teens, but kids as young as 7 can join in too. In fact, they've seen a 3-year-old reach the top!

For those who love bouldering, Hangdog’s got you sorted. Just a heads-up, though, the rules have changed. Kids under 10 can't enter the Hangar Bouldering Area, and those under 13 can't go into the Transformer Room. However, Da Cave is open for supervised children.

Planning a birthday party? While specific packages aren’t available, you can make a group booking. Remember, kids under 10 aren’t allowed in the bouldering areas but are welcome in the high roped section.

Bookings are taken on the hour. You can also book the mezzanine floor for 1.5 hours for $25, providing a base to store your stuff and have snacks. Just keep things tidy for the next group.

As for gear, it's best to dress in layers as the gym can get chilly. Climbing shoes are available for hire at $3. Safety is crucial here, so kids under 10 must stay off the crash pads, and adult supervision is required for those under 13 — about one belayer for every 2 or 3 children.
