Catherine Hughes is a 500-hour Yoga Alliance trained Yoga Instructor based in Chippenham, New Zealand. In her classes, Catherine focuses on building balance, flexibility, core strength, and grace while maintaining a sense of fun and playfulness. She incorporates a variety of yoga styles, including Yin stretches, Ashtanga poses, Vinyasa Flow, and calming restorative poses to create a well-rounded practise. Each class concludes with a dreamy guided meditation to provide a peaceful pause in your day.
The intention of Catherine's classes is to ease tension, stretch and unfurl the body, and support overall wellbeing for both body and mind. Through regular practise, her goal is to help students gradually build strength, improve balance, increase fitness, and enhance flexibility. Whether you are new to yoga or have an established practise, Catherine welcomes individuals of all levels of experience and tailors her guidance to help you achieve your personal goals. Catherine is particularly adept at working with injuries or limitations and creating a peaceful and restorative experience for her students.
Happy Yoga with Catherine offers a variety of class options throughout the week. On Mondays, her classes are held at the Highleaze Studio in Ogbourne Colerne Village from 7-8pm. Tuesdays feature morning classes from 9-10am at the same location, and on Wednesdays, there is a class from 10-11am at Highleaze Studio in Ogbourne Colerne. Additionally, there is a class on Saturdays from 4-5pm at The Yoga Studio at Lucknam Park.
This class requires booking through the Spa Reception in advance. Finally, Catherine teaches a class at the 21 Signal Regiment Gym Colerne every Wednesday from 2. 15-3. 15pm, although this class is not open to the public.
Once a month, Catherine also hosts a gentle restorative Yoga session in her light-filled studio. This session takes place on the last Sunday of the month from 3-4pm and provides a nourishing and rejuvenating experience.
