Inspires my teaching style, which focuses on creating a positive and energised atmosphere in the studio. Laughter, joy, and fun are a vital part of my classes, ensuring that my students not only challenge themselves physically but also enjoy the practise. I believe that love, kindness, and compassion are essential in life, and I strive to exemplify these qualities both on and off the mat.
As a dedicated Yogini, my personal practise is centred around Ashtanga Yoga. I love the dynamic flow of the practise and incorporate its influence in my Vinyasa flow classes. I am a registered Yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance, having completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training course with Heather Elton. Additionally, I have completed a 200-hour Ashtanga Teacher Training course with renowned instructors John Scott and Lucy Crawford Scott.
My training allows me to teach the traditional Yogic teachings, including leading my classes through their practise using Sanskrit count.
To further enhance my teaching skills and deepen my knowledge, I have completed an advanced 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training course in Goa, India. This course expanded my understanding of advanced vinyasa flow techniques, Restorative Yoga, Meditation, and Pranayama techniques. I am also trained in Pregnancy Yoga, having completed a specialised Pregnancy Teacher Training course. This training enables me to support expectant mothers in their second trimester onwards, providing a safe and nurturing practise to promote their well-being.
As a forever student, I am constantly seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge and deepen my own personal practise. I actively participate in workshops, retreats, and maintain an extensive yogic library to continue my growth as both a student and teacher. I firmly believe that Yoga is not only a physical practise but a powerful tool for healing the mind, body, and spirit. When practised consistently, both on and off the mat, Yoga's positive benefits quickly unfold in each individual, transforming their lives in remarkable ways.
At Havva Yoga, we embrace the philosophy of Patanjali's eight limbs of Yoga. These ethical guidelines regarding moral behaviour are crucial to achieving a fulfilling life. We believe in gratitude for life's journey, spreading love, and finding eternal bliss through these teachings. Our studio provides a welcoming and supportive environment for practitioners of all levels.
Whether you're seeking a gentle practise or a dynamic fast-paced flow, our Vinyasa flow classes cater to a range of difficulty levels. We also offer traditional Ashtanga Led classes, where students are guided through a set sequence by following Sree K. Pattabhi Jois's teachings. These classes build strength, stamina, and tone the entire body while calming the mind and leading to a state of eternal bliss.
We look forward to welcoming you to Havva Yoga, where you can experience the transformative power of Yoga and cultivate a deeper connexion with yourself and others. Om Shanti Havva xx.
