Welcome to Hednesford Active Football Club! More than just a club, we are a vibrant community dedicated to promoting a love for football while fostering a strong sense of well-being among our players. Our passion for the game extends beyond the boundaries of the pitch, as we actively engage in various initiatives to contribute positively to our community.

At Hednesford Active Football Club, we believe that sports can be a powerful tool for personal growth and community development. Our mission is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where individuals of all ages and abilities can come together to enjoy the beautiful game and stay physically active.

Our core philosophy revolves around putting the enjoyment of the game first and foremost for our young players. We firmly believe that when children enjoy what they do, they not only develop their skills more effectively but also build a lifelong love for the sport.

Under the guidance of our Head Coach, Ben Richardson, and Development Lead, Jake Millward, we offer a range of programmes tailored to different age groups.

For children aged 3–6 years old, we have our Future Stars programme, which focuses on youth development through fun and engaging football activities.

Our Junior Development sessions are designed for children aged 7–12 years old, providing them with the opportunity to further develop their skills through structured coaching sessions.

Our Youth Squads consist of players in the 23/24 age group who participate in competitive games in the WJYFL. This is where our talented young players can showcase their abilities and continue to grow in their football journeys.

In addition to our training programmes, we also have a Club Shop where members can purchase playing kits, training kits, club wear, and accessories. We are proud to be linked to Walsall FC, a club with a rich history of nurturing talent and producing exceptional players. Our close relationship with Walsall FC allows us to unlock pathways to academy football. We have a dedicated Walsall scout working closely with our team to identify promising young footballers.

One shining example of our successful collaboration with Walsall FC is Zak, a talented young player. Zak's talent flourished under the guidance of our dedicated coaching staff and with the support of our Walsall scout. He earned a call-up to play for the Walsall U13s academy team after impressing the coaches during training. Zak stood out in matches against Morecambe and Bristol Rovers and even won the man of the match award against West Bromwich Albion.

He received an offer to join the Walsall FC academy, which he gladly accepted.

We are thrilled to be able to provide opportunities for young players to showcase their abilities and potentially pursue a career in professional football.
