Helen Dixon would like to extend a warm welcome to the sports community to her Reformer studio based in the West End of Darlington. Helen Dixon Pilates is here to help people live happier and healthier lives through Pilates. Offering small group reformer classes, the studio focuses on reducing low back pain and joint discomfort.
Helen, who both owns and teaches at the studio, has been in the field for over 7 years. She discovered Pilates as the only form of exercise that consistently made her feel better after injuries. Frustrated with short-term solutions from healthcare providers, Helen turned to Pilates to address her inflammation, improve her range of motion, and strengthen her body.
Helen’s approach is personal; she works closely with her clients to help them build confidence in their bodies. Be it chronic back pain, injury recovery, or post-surgery rehabilitation, Helen designs movement solutions tailored for everyone. Her classes aim to improve strength, flexibility, and balance, which in turn helps to reduce pain and contributes to overall well-being.
Helen runs different classes to make sure everyone finds what suits them best. Aside from group mat classes in Darlington, Neasham, and Romanby, the studio also has small group reformer sessions. These reformer classes are kept intimate with no more than three participants, ensuring individual attention in a fun and relaxing setting. The exercises cater to various fitness levels, making it possible for everyone to move at their own pace.
Helen’s credentials include training with Body Control Pilates in London back in 2017, covering Mat, Reformer, Tower, and Chair Pilates. She has also qualified as a Clinical Pilates teacher with Breathe Education and keeps honing her skills by learning from renowned instructors around the world, including Heath Lander of Contrology Collective.
Clients have consistently praised their experiences at Helen Dixon Pilates. Feedback highlights Helen’s expertise, her keen attention to individual needs, and the enjoyable and supportive atmosphere she creates. Beginners and those dealing with physical pain have found confidence and joy in her classes.
