About
Hendon & Mill Hill Hockey Club, located in North London, is a fun and welcoming group. Michele and her team have two women's squads competing in the London Area League and keep things relaxed both on and off the pitch. They get it if you can’t always make training or away matches and even organise carpooling.
After each game, there are teas, sandwiches, and chips for everyone. The season runs from September to April, with games on Saturdays and training on Tuesday nights. Summer sees them in a fun league with mixed games and evening music, not to mention various socials like quiz nights and BBQs.
New players of all abilities are welcome – whether you've played before, are looking for a new club, or are entirely new to the sport. You're encouraged to try out a couple of training sessions first to see if it’s a good fit. They ensure everyone is match-ready before jumping into games for safety reasons.
Home matches are at Mallinson Sports Centre (N6 4NY), and training happens on Tuesdays from 20:00 to 21:30 at Mill Hill School Sports Centre (NW7 1QA). For men's hockey, they’ve partnered with Southgate Adelaide, and juniors can join in through North London Hockey.
Michele wants everyone to know that Hendon & Mill Hill is all about meeting new people, staying fit, and having a good time. The fees are affordable compared to other London clubs, and you can join in anytime during the season.
